The ACDA Eastern Division High School Honors Choir was a 150-voice Chorus chosen, by recorded audition, from schools all over the northeastern United States. Tara Koehler and Tyler Cesario were chosen out of hundreds of auditionees. They learned all of their music in advance, and then traveled to Providence, RI on February 15. While in Providence, they did about 20 hours of rehearsals with the choir over four days, under the direction of their conductor, Dr. Pearl Shangkuan. Tara and Tyler also participated in other social activities with the group, including attending a concert and an ice cream social. The Honors Choir performed on Saturday, February 18, at 4 PM, at the Veterans Theatre in downtown Providence, and the concert was spectacular! The students learned so much by participating, and would like to thank Mr. Carter and Dr. Poteat for this amazing opportunity. Winslow Township should be very proud of these two outstanding singers!
