Welcome to our web site! I would like to share my thoughts about School Six with you. School Six provides a quality education for approximately 750 students in grades 3, 4, and 5. Each and every student attending our school is special and valued by the faculty, staff, and administration. The faculty, staff, and administration work as a team to provide a stimulating academic and social environment for our students.

5th Grade Studies Black History Month

In conjunction with Black History Month, our fifth graders had the opportunity to learn more about slavery and the Underground Railroad.  The Suitcase Learning Program, presented by the Camden County Historical Society, informed each classroom about how slavery began in the New World, why it was accepted at the time and the need for freedom for those enslaved.  Two students were chosen from each class, a boy and girl, to get “dressed up” wearing typical clothing a young slave their age would have worn. The presenter also brought along various photographs and articles that were passed around the room for the students to view.  Interesting biographical information of famous “conductors”, such as Harriet Tubman and Sojourner Truth, fascinated the students.  The program was well received by staff and students!

Thank you to the HSA for providing the

funding for this outstanding program!
