School One April Highlights 2012

Our School One Family hopes you and your Family had a Happy Spring Break!

School One is participating in the Camden Riversharks Reading Program again this year. This program promotes reading and awards free tickets to students and their families to attend Rivershark baseball games until the end of the school year in June.

The School One HSA sponsored lots of fundraisers and programs during the month of April! The School One McDonald’s Night was hosted by the HSA and as always was a night full of fun while “fundraising”! Students and their families had an opportunity to greet and eat with School One staff and their families.

The HSA also hosted our School One CANDY BAR BINGO night!! The admission cost was one large candy bar or box of candy! We had fun competing and winning chocolate, candy and lots of give aways.

The Winslow Township Fire Department presented the Fire Safety Puppet Show to our school this month. Students were able to learn fire prevention and safety from actual Fire Fighters up close! The Fire Fighters spent time in classrooms talking with students about home safety, fire prevention techniques and what to do in the event of an emergency. Preschool and Kindergarten students were able to see and learn about the Fire truck parked in front of the school. We truly appreciate the Winslow Township Fire Department taking time out of their schedule to come and spend time with us here at School One. Thank you!!!

School One recognized TAKE YOUR CHILD TO WORK day this month. Teachers and staff had an awesome time as children were able to observe their parents doing a great job, educating students.

It was a fun day for all!
