Welcome to Winslow Township High School for the 2009-2010 school year. It is imperative for our students, families, administration, faculty, staff and community to share in the belief that Winslow Township High School is a learning environment that provides structure, guidance and support for all learners.
The students of Winslow Township High School should arrive each day with the purpose and commitment to learn. It is our intention to have students ascertain the importance of achievement, solid decision-making practices, building character and the worth of self esteem. The progress and achievements of our student body will be guided by our academic practices and procedures.
Achievement can be accomplished by making a commitment to learning. Successful students will utilize their determination and concentrated efforts to attain educational goals. They will not be satisfied with average performances and will strive to overcome all obstacles in their pursuit of excellence.
Solid decision making practices will assist students in their daily activities. The ability to reach a rationale and a well thought plan of action is critical to the well-being of all Winslow Township students. Responsible and conscientious actions will lead to exemplary behaviors.
Character and self-esteem are enhanced through confident and enthusiastic manifestations of self-worth. The outward energy that students display is indicative of their personalities. Each and every student should be willing to participate in positive activities that highlight their interests.
The instruction and care that our students receive on a daily basis have a tremendous impact upon the persons they will become. It is paramount that we as parents and educators instill in our students the belief that a sound education increases opportunities in life. The skills and routines established through continued learning and acquired knowledge will prepare students to overcome deficiencies and barriers. Our students must be reminded and encouraged to be innovative, critical thinkers and problem solvers.
Eagles soar to great heights in a way that all persons watching witness their lofty status. It is that same sense of pride and dignity that must be imbedded in the Eagles of Winslow Township High School.
