GREAT WEB SITES FOR COLLEGE & CAREER PLANNING
So many
resources are available on-line that it would be impossible to list them all.
However, the sites below provide an excellent start for college planning,
scholarship search, and financial aid inquiries for students, parents, and

Board): This site offers a wealth of information from tests (SAT/PSAT's) to
planning for college, finding the right college, paying for college. Visitors
to the site may select a track for parents, students, or educators.

Magazine): The site helps locate colleges by majors, provides informative
articles, and offers the opportunity to e-mail experts with your questions.

This is a "first visit" site that offers a comprehensive list of information
that may be accessed by a parent, student, or educator track. It has excellent
information on college and career planning as well as financial aid supports.

(Saving for College): It is never too soon to begin
saving for college. This site helps you explore options.

(CollegeNET): This unusual site allows students to
apply to several colleges online while allowing the repetitive information to be
transferred from one application to another. Its database for online
applications numbers over 1500.

(CollegeView): This site offers campus tours, career
and minority information, and profiles of over 3,800 colleges/universities.
Also offered are college applications, minority scholarship search, and college
admissions information.

(Common Application): The Common Application is the
recommended form for 227 selective, independent colleges and universities. Hard
copies of the Common Application are available in the College and Career Center.

(IPEDS College Opportunities On-line (COOL)): This
site is overseen by the National Center for Education Statistics in the U.S.
Department of Education. This site assists families and students in
understanding the differences among colleges and how much it costs to attend
college.

comprehensive site that includes access to resources such as books, Web Sites,
online products, and admissions services.
